We can borrow a celebration from the Irish on March 17, Saint Patrick’s Day. Join the festivities in Siem Reap or paint the town green with friends. The Angkor What Bar will be the center of the action, but more details coming soon. Sláinte!

March 20 offers a unique opportunity to witness the equinox at Angkor Wat, when the sun rises majestically, exactly above the centre tower. Have your camera ready!

March 1: Opening Upperdeck at Courtyard by Marriott Siem Reap Resort

With the magical Angkor Wat in the horizon and the skyline of Siem Reap town in view, Upperdeck is the place to be and is officially open for a lively sunset with lots of glamour every evening 5pm onwards.

March 2 – 4: Japanese Film Festival

Enjoy a selection of 12 Japanese films, screened over three days. Each film will be subtitled in English and Khmer. Films include animated adventures such as Rudolf the Black Cat and high octane drama in Honnouji Hotel.

March 3: The Holi Party

Every Holi party needs colour, sound and tasty food! Join the celebrations with music from DJ Niko Yu, authentic tastes of India from Jodphur Restaurant, beers for 50c and fun and games for all!

March 4 : El Brunch del Sur

March 4: World Wildlife Day

World Wildlife Day

Hosted by Jaya House River Park and Fauna in Focus, this free event includes activities and games for children as well as ‘A Cambodian Nature Film’ screened throughout the day. Information stations will provide information about the country’s wildlife, and guest presenters will promote pride in the natural heritage of Cambodia. Come along and join the fun – bring the whole family.

March 7 – 10: French Week

French Week

For the very first time, a French Week is organized in Siem Reap, to promote the “savoir-faire” of French companies in Cambodia. 50 French companies and organizations of all sizes will showcase their skills and products in a “French village” set up in the royal gardens. A wide variety of entertainment will be offered: an exclusive photo exhibition of the École française d’Extrême-Orient, cultural conferences, initiation to stone carving, French food stands, job and internship offers, a pétanque court, an open-air cinema, a modern dance show, a fashion show and much more.

March 8: Maline Yim “Decomposition”

Life, decay and rebirth are themes of artist Maline Yim’s work, created in cardboard with graphite, charcoal, ink and acrylic pencil.

March 9: Pop Music Quiz

March 23:  Masters of Food, Wine and Fashion

Master of Food, Wine and Fashion at Park Hyatt Siem Reap
An evening of food, wine and fashion, Park Hyatt Siem Reap’s Executive Chef Theam Pisith, created menu paired with Nicolas Feuillatte Champagne.

Award winning fashion designer, Eric Raisina, has teamed up with Park Hyatt to create an evening combining Eric’s fabulous handmade textiles (made in Cambodia) with a four course set menu. Paired with Nicolas-Feuillatte Champagne, you’ll sample appetisers such as pear poached scallop with crispy mozzarella cheese, followed by baked Mekong river fish with pumpkin-ginger purée, snow-peas, and citrus Béarnaise for your main course.

Every Sunday: Sacred Dancers Performance
